Your foyer is the first thing your guest see as they walk into your house! It can leave an bland first impression or a homey inviting first impression. Read below for the top tricks to creating a welcoming entryway for your guests...
Large Rug: Have a rug big enough for your guests to walk inside your foyer without feeling pressured to take their shoes off right by the door.
Light Fixture: Make a statement with your light! It should be bold and fun but also gives off enough soft light upon entering your home.
Stools or Bench: Give a place for your guests to sit while taking off their shoes. If needed this can also double as storage for shoes.
Hooks: Add a couple hooks so guests automatically know where their coats and bags should be hung and they can do it themself.
Mirror: Mirrors help reflect light and help the room look larger. It is also nice so guests can check themselves out upon entering.
Console Table: If you can fit a console table with beautiful decor it can really make a statement in your entryway. This is a chance to show your style off right in the front of your house. I also use the baskets under my console table as a lost and found for my guests!
Plant: I prefer faux plants because I can't keep anything alive but real or faux both work! This pop or greenery adds a homey feel while bringing in color and life.
Feature Wall: Adding board & batten, wainscotting, or ship lap can really give a welcoming feel and add to a boring entryway wall. It automatically makes your home look custom.
